Introduction
The warpd/warp suite is a network mechanism intended to selectively "open" a service (or a range of service) on a given host for a limited time (opening window) when someone with the authentication credentials requires this.Basically, the warp program
will send an encrypted datagram to the server; if everything matches,
the local server firewall will be lifted in order to make the selected
services available.
When the "opening window"
expires, the firewall is restored to its original form, and the server
would disappear from the network. This should greatly help to make
"sensitive" server less vulnerable to scanning.
